Dave Osborn was an American football running back who played for the Minnesota Vikings from 1965 to 1975. He was born on December 21, 1942, in Everett, Pennsylvania, and played college football at the University of North Dakota.

Osborn was a dependable player for the Vikings, known for his toughness and excellent ball security. He rushed for 4,462 yards and 38 touchdowns during his career, and was named to the Pro Bowl in 1970. He was part of the Vikings teams that played in three Super Bowls, although they lost all of them.

After retiring from football, Osborn became a business executive and community leader in the Minneapolis area. He was inducted into the University of North Dakota Athletic Hall of Fame in 1981 and the Minnesota Vikings Ring of Honor in 2006.
